incl phat marlose remix !! moolono.bass is known as a part of the legendary kombinat 100 quartett and also label head of the fresh founded acker records where he has released his debut ep >linstow e.p.< at the end of 2006. in the past he did a successful remix for marlose s >hey na ep< on ostwind records 04. now he is back on the front and we are happy to present his own debut ep on ostwind. like his productions with kombinat 100, mollono.bass combines warm grooving and driven drum sets with dubby, harmonic and emotional elements to tell the crowd special moments. after his debut ep >hey na< (played by gesine pertenbreiter for example) and the great minikosmonauten remix to kombinat 100, marlose is also back on the front with his eupho-riemix, where he take >endless summer< in a more floor and ear candy orientated minimal version in his familiar pumpin style !!!

12 Inch
22.08.07
tango saty is a crazy dancer from klaus schulze. sounds huge on 12 inch and causes a storm of freaky dancing on the more discerning dancefloors with a wonky yet eminently groovy rhythmic structure and synth brass riffs that echo around in your head for days. when the bass drops its smiles all round. b shock r.e.r.b. is a classic piece of doomy yet uplifting cosmic elettro from london town that was a baldelli and loda play. getting increasingly hard to find on the original 12 inch and even if you do, this one is mastered with more weight and clarity
AROUND THE EDGE/WHITE NOISE
12 Inch
22.08.07
whilst their debut release i like you is still causing havoc on near by dancefloors, shimon & nixon are proving themselves a force to be reckoned with! the burbling bass of around the edge is destined for sun soaked dancefloors and homegrown festival tents alike. shimons junglist influences are evident, minimal keys sit atop warped synth lines and atmospheric vocals. whitenoise is more the instant club banger, taking a trip to the darker reaches. the omnipotent bassline pulsates its way into your brain and builds to a powerful breakdown then bashing its way back to the jugular
THE LIFE WE CHOOSE PART 2
12 Inch
22.08.07
the 2nd part of the >the life we choose< album series starts with >who you gonna call?< the track is built on a melodic 303 acid line, which, followed by two more 303s, results in a complete acid trip. >the life we choose< is compelling, with its 117 bpm electro-groove, strong bassline combined with a hypnotic acid line, right up to the triumphant string finale. >itz ok (club mix)<: sombre, expressive vocals mixed with acid beats make one thoughtful, despite enjoying the whole package in a >hardfloor will survive< club mix! attention! full album cover comes with part 3!
the track starts off with addicted grooves & basslines building up with clever vocal use and lovely drum patterns which create this cool atmospheric & accomplished piece of work!on the a side we find the fantastic lutzenkirchen remix, of course well known for his top releases on great stuff recordings, his russian experience ep on tomcrafts label craft music and their collaboration with tech house master john aquaviva on blu fin records. on the flip the the great original mix by lush7 & bas molendijk! this excellent 12 already receives heavy support by top jocks as benny rodriques, michel de hey, phonique, warren fellow, lutzenkirchen and many more so make sure to not miss out on this essential disc, pure quality stuff!!

VERY WRONG / INCL CHAIM & PATRICK ZIGON RMXS
12 Inch
16.08.07
incl. massive rmxs by chaim & patrick zigon gel brings us into a twisted atmosphere with >very wrong<, an amazing track with an obscure relentless bassline sustaining a tripped-out melody line. an astounding piece of tech-house at its best, already destined to be one of the anthems of this summer 2007. on the flip side, >cocoon< rising star chaim gives a different twist to the tune, bringing it into techno territories and pumping grooves. completing the b-side is patrick zigon, patricks mix delivers a perfect >german< interpretation of the original and keeps the legs shaking with the melody line smartly adapted to a more minimal groove. a perfect closer for this release that tries to appeal to as many as different tastes, from the tech house lovers to the more minimal / techno oriented djs. as promised, be as one is keeping the quality standard of its output to the max making it one of the most promising label of 2007

WHAT SHE WANTS
12 Inch
03.08.07
on the genre smashing what she wants, metrics productions have become more assured, as have the range of influences he brings into his music. inspired by everything from jacques le cont and daft punk to his obsession with bad 80s records and krautrock rhythms, metric chops up the beats n vocals here like if he were prince signed to ed banger. slamming tracks like oh percolate with ironic electro pop synths and brash hip hop attitude, while breakin hearts seduces with chunky guitar glitch given the trademark metric acid wash. the e.p.s cheeky power culminates in the title track, what she wants, a squelching dancefloor stormer whose chunky hooks bring rude rock intensity to electronic club thump

02.08.07
excellent release by one of the most revolutionary artists for deep house in spain, his name, jesus gonsev from cuidad real. the manchego native rounds out the tenth vinyl release of house cafe music with a definitive american sound from the early 90s. the future of this artist looks bright as he is poised to release more records on soul cafe music from south africa and gotta keep faith records. next to me, the title track of this ep brings memories of the productions of steve bug or gamat 3000 from the dessous glory days, lots of groove with simple elements which make it both mixab le and danceable. so deep, has already garnered the attention of house legends such as larry heard and ame, who have already included this track in their sessions.
LET THE MUSIC USE YOU

02.08.07
the record was born too early, when house music was still very underground, so consequently it passed into house music history with only a very few discerning djs and collectors owning original us copies. in keeping with chicagos musical history, one of the unsung heros of house has been drafted in to keep the new versions feet firmly on the ground. craig loftis aka grand high priest who along with joe promised land smooth on keys! give the track a more understated could upstate from london back to chicago with 3 killa mixes

aus continue to release the best and brightest of contemporary dance music with the oehug the scary ep, a collaboration between luminaries will saul and lee jones. will saul is best known as the head of simple records, up for nomination as best british label in dj magazine this year and also sister label to the more experimental aus imprint on which this ep is released. in his career to date he has released numerous singles on simple, the critically acclaimed space between album and has recently produced an ep for the german label systematic. englishman in berlin lee jones has to date released acclaimed singles on liebe detail, aus and his own label, just rec. formerly releasing under the moniker hefner , he is also a main creative force behind playhouse my my, whose oesongs for the gentle album won plaudits worldwide in 2006. opener oehug the scary is a transcendental journey. trace echoes of melody encircle an intensifying percussive step, filtering to a chimed key reflection. tonal themes fade in, compete, distort and then depart, making way for peaks of overwhelming melody, with only the fittest surviving and elevating to the sublime. on the flip side, partial arts (the duo of ewan pearson and al usher) give their own, heavily percussive, account of proceedings. stormy fuzz and bubble bath accents introduce a funk bassline and interplay between looped guitar and tonal melody. a sci-fi synth haze halts and then dictates the progression into a saturated melodic climax.

SLAM WITH THE FACE
12 Inch
31.07.07
this is a fresh & rockin kompass musik release, presenting music from the hamburg-city boy denis karimani aka remute! after lonely and quiet years of experimenting and self-discovery he released his first 12inch called >hypnoconsole< on zombie nations label dekathlon records and got remixed by munich-techno-hero richard bartz.the first livegigs followed directly and led him into smoky rave-basements, uproarious clubs, sunny open-airs, as well as shaky party-boats...due to excessive and unresting music-making, denis released lots of 12 s and made several remixes in the following years. he released records on fine labels like traum/trapez/mbf, areal , dial, num, smallville or liebe*detail, made remixes for artists like dominik eulberg, move d or station17 and released his first album >remute< on ladomat. his regular appearance in magazine polls for best live act of the year proves that this is not just theory. now, we proudly welcome this jack-of-all-trades to our yet small but nice label family at kompass musik. he contributes a bodacious three tracker, jam-packed with dirty and pushing club tracks. >slam with the face< on the a-side brings us into some rough, gruffy and exciting soundscapes, the b-side holds two more fantastic proves of remutes far-reaching talent. >cause he likes it<, a pretty deep piece of techno and >propellersweat<, a reduced but heavily effective monster track in the end rave on.!
DRIED LUBRICANT EP
12 Inch
30.07.07
new offshoot to the mean record label – serialism records - combining avant-garde sounds with a seasoned technique for all things minimal. in this case >dried lubricant ep< is an example of quality which doesnt follow the common flow. on this 4 tracker, the classic breed of techno is harmonically mixed up with the quirkiness of our time. a various artist ep which doesnt eave space for misunderstandings. on the a side young frenchman cesar merveille and his obscure melodies and liquid bass lines takes us on moody journey followed by italian rico casazza who plays ironically with our heads in a more funked up style. on the b side ekkohaus opens up the dancefloor with heavy breaks and chorused rim shots while the fourth track from the brainchild of techno producer grimes adhesif delivers an industrial 909 style loopy piece. grimes is the label owner of mind your head records, and has produced tracks which have received much recognition from major djs and artists such as ricardo villalobos

PRIME TIME MAN LOTION EP
12 Inch
27.07.07
the spatulacity crew is proud to present some more fresh talent with real time hand motions prime time man lotion ep! these two have been making major waves with blistering originals and remixes over the last year or so, and break ya neck and who got it are probably two of the hottest examples of what these guys are capable of. unbelievable studio trickery in the vein of spatula city label bosses the sound republic, rthm deliver funky grooves, dancefloor firestarters, and were without question one of the most talked about artists at this years wmc. this is only the beginning of what will surely be a long career for this nashville duo. chicagos sexual chocolate (of junky trunk records fame) delivers a nasty dubsided esque wobbly bassline stomper of a remix for break ya neck while the original funks, shuffles, and grooved its way in to the boxes of all of the underground heavy hitters with massive support from dj mes, the sound republic, diz, raoul belmans, justin martin, the inland knights, and more.
FINGERFOOD
12 Inch
27.07.07
a perfect ny disco affair from the elitechnique guys. nice late 70s percussion driven disco track played with real instruments. comes with a re-mix / edit of major swellings (aka prins thomas) who turned the track into a more club orientated affair with a slower pace and some added percussion to make it fit every summer party
big with: dan curtin, gregor tresher, karotte, thomas schumacher, monika kruse.... fresh fried is a new project by chris wood, nedzad berovic and frank leicher. nedzad and frank have already made furore with their release on balkon records. the aside >50 ways< starts with an organic housegroove. during the song a minimal melody originates, which comes to its climax because of a clever arranged break and a pad that sounds like the old detroit tracks. hands up on every open air floor ! the b-side includes the titel >on my mind< in two different versions: chris b1 version shows us how deep beats and tricky vocals can work together, and comes after a short break with a warm baseline to a house appeal that stayes in your mind... the version from berovic & leicher is a little bit harder and more minimal. because of nice arranged beats and the drifting baseline this track has to be played at the clubs
GETTING TIME
12 Inch
26.07.07
rmxs by eric sneo & space djz , abstract recs speed up their release-pipelines and the result is >getting time< by robert natus, a monster tune featuring fat synths, snapping basslines and everything a bangin record needs. an exclusive remix package has been also included, more precisely mixes by the london based space djz and palazzo hero eric sneo. while erics mix is a more techno oriented interpretation, jamie bissmire and ben long strike back with a jackin chicago influenced version. damn nice package. but wait, there is another track on top by mr. robert natus called >eye of the hurricane<, and be sure it sounds like the name suggests
